Drechselbedarf Schulte
Drechselbedarf Schulte is a small family business that grew out of founder Hans Schulte's passion for woodturning. Our mission is to provide hobby woodturners with high-quality materials and tools to support their creative projects. We emphasise personal advice and first-class customer service to promote the joy of woodturning.
History
1977
Hans Schulte finds his new hobby, woodturning, which he later professionalises through a woodturning course.1985
The first exhibition in the Holthausen community centre. Further events and craft markets followed, at which Hans presented his turned works, such as floor lamps, small table lamps, bottle openers, plates, furniture legs and tins.1996
Hans and Kornelia Schulte state their trade: Drechselbedarf Schulte. The KS in the logo are Kornelia Schulte's initials.
1998 - 2010
The first shop was opened in Meppen. This shop also had a large classroom where woodturning courses were held on Fridays and Saturdays. Once a year there was an open day, which was always very popular.2004 - 2010
Opening of an additional office with a smaller showroom in Groß Hesepe.
2010
Both shops are closed due to lack of space. KS Drechselbedarf Schulte moves to the 400 square metre shop in Groß Hesepe in the district of Geeste. There, from Monday to Friday and on the first Saturday of the month, customers can still inspect the woodturning machines and our complete range of accessories on site.2012
Thanks to his many years of experience as a hobby turner, Hans Schulte had his very own ideas about what makes a good lathe and incorporated these into the MIDI. The first bench lathe was soon followed by the Stratos FU-230, which was also perfectly adapted to the needs of amateur and professional woodturners.2013
The warehouse is extended by 500 square metres for lathes, machines and accessories.2022
The own brand "KS Original Schulte" is founded.
2024
Jens Schulte takes over the management of the company.The takeover was accompanied by a redesign of the logo.
