The Midi 2 Plus lathe is the new edition of the Midi 2 machine. It has all the advantages of the Midi 2, such as the revised headstock design with triple spindle bearings and a tailstock with trapezoidal thread. In addition, the lathe has a new, more solid bench bed, which is now compatible with the popular Midi 2/Midi Pro base frame. The scope of delivery includes a 95 mm steel faceplate and a 250 mm blade support. The machine also has a main switch and two-stage start and stop speed.

The Midi 2 Plus is the new, improved version of the Midi 2 woodturning machine. Like the Midi 2, the Midi 2 Plus has a new headstock design which enables a triple spindle bearing and an increased bearing distance of 130 mm.
The Midi 2 Plus is also equipped with a 250 mm blade support. The optimized, mobile control box has an illuminated start button and an LED light that indicates active rotation.

All these features make the Midi 2 Plus woodturning machine a compact but powerful woodturning machine for all kinds of woodturning work. It delivers enough power for bowls up to 35 cm in diameter, and thanks to the triple bearing it can also be used to turn larger hollow shapes and vases on the fly and, thanks to the trapezoidal thread, is ideally prepared for deep holes in face wood. With its 65 kg, the machine remains mobile enough to be transported or adjusted as required.
Turning lathe also for deep vases
Smaller vases are a challenge for smaller table machines. Processing between the tips is often still possible with smaller machines, but when it comes to hollowing out vases or the front wood in such a size, it becomes much more demanding. That's why we had the Midi 2 PLUS triple stored so that it can also be hollowed out in this size of arrangement. In combination with the new heavy bench bed, mine achieves outstanding smoothness for a compact Midi bench.
Plates up to 35 cm possible
Even though the machine is a "midi", the key technical data should not be underestimated. The machine can be used to turn bowls and plates up to 35 cm in diameter - which is almost too big for most kitchen and living room tables. Our recommendation: With the optional bed extension of 280 mm, the tailstock can be quickly moved aside to provide enough space for larger bogies.
