Scroll saw
A scroll saw is an electrically powered tool that is used for precise, fine cuts in various materials such as wood, plastic and metal. It is particularly useful when it comes to detailed work such as cutting curves, patterns or intricate shapes that are difficult to achieve with a normal saw.
The scroll saw has a very thin, vertically mounted saw blade that moves up and down quickly to cut through the material. Its function is similar to that of a fretsaw, but it is electric and therefore much faster and more efficient. The workpiece is guided slowly against the saw blade, and the fine movement and thin saw blade allow you to work very precisely.
Typical areas of application are model making, arts and crafts, inlay work or the creation of small components for furniture or decorations. Thanks to the ability to easily change and finely adjust the saw blade, it is also suitable for materials of different thicknesses and hardnesses.
