Record Power chuck with direct thread M33 x 3.5 and a drain safety groove.
The SC4 is the ideal lathe chuck for the demanding wood turner. It allows the clamping of large workpieces and is still compact and precise.
This chuck has a closed cover plate on the back with a 72-pitch index. The jaws are adjusted using a hexagon socket wrench with ball head, so that quick and easy one-handed operation is possible in any position, even when large workpieces are clamped.
Notes on the drainage safety groove:
Chucks can "run off" the spindle during operation, especially with larger workpieces and during braking or improper handling. This is prevented by the ASR system. The prerequisite for this is a run-off protection groove in the threaded spindle of the lathe and a run-off protection ring.

The SC4 is compatible with all Teknatool/NOVA jaws.

The SC3 and SC4 are equipped with a jaw mounting system that not only fits into the Record Power series from Jaws, but is also fully compatible with Nova and Robert Sorby brand jaws.

The SC4 has a robust back plate to protect the gearbox from dust. It also features 72-point indexing around the entire circumference.

The SC3 and SC4 are operated with a key with one hand, leaving the hand free for assembly. The SC4 wrench features a ball hex wrench design for multi-directional operation and easy access.
