Note on working with the sanding pads / sanding cushions
Caution! The Velcro pads are applied using an adhesive that has thermoplastic properties after curing. One of the properties of thermoplastics is that the polymer chains (cross-linking within the plastic) loosen when exposed to heat and the adhesive can therefore no longer adhere. For this reason, the sanding pad must not be overheated. Overheating can damage the sanding pads and the wood. You should sand without applying too much pressure and in several intervals, always moving over the workpiece and not lingering too long on individual Areas.
