CrushGrind coffee and spice grinders
The Danish manufacturer CrushGrind® has been producing high-quality ceramic grinders for salt, pepper, herbs, spices and coffee for over 25 years. Thanks to the proven CrushGrind® design, the grinding degree can be precisely adjusted. Even with the finest setting, no great effort is required to grind the food.
Strässler nutmeg grinders and grinders for pepper, salt and caraway
The Swiss-made grinders are synonymous with precision and durability. Be it the kits for salt, caraway or pepper mills, which are made of hardened stainless steel, or the grinders for nutmegs, which produce particularly fine spice powders.
The kits for pepper, caraway and salt are made of stainless steel. The inner and outer ring is milled and extra hardened for greater robustness. The special grinding cone of the individual grinders makes them particularly suitable for caraway and aniseed and spices of a similar consistency. By mixing several spices, you can also make great teas or spice blends.
The nutmeg is turned over a special grinding disc and planed very finely, allowing it to develop its full flavour.
Strässler grinders for caraway and pepper mills
The kits for the production of caraway and pepper mills are made of hardened steel that reaches a hardness of 60 HRC. This corresponds to the hardness of high-priced kitchen knives.
The degree of grinding is infinitely variable and very precise thanks to an adjusting screw that is secured against loosening. Grind the caraway or pepper into a coarse or fine powder, depending on the recipe. This allows you to precisely control the intensity with which the flavour of the spice enhances the taste of your dish.
The design of the conical grinder offers the advantage that the
grinder does not clog, no matter how finely you grind it. The
individual grains pass through the grinder via special guide
grooves without interfering with each other as they slide
along.
The grinders are available in two different versions, so you have
the choice of fitting the mill's turned cap with a special plug-in
fastener or with a classic screw connection.
Hardened grinders for salt mills
The great advantage of the salt grinder is that the grinding cone and the grinding ring have a titanium nitride (TiN) coating. This makes the grinding mechanism extremely resistant to rust. Corrosion favoured by salt does not occur. The TiN coating is also very resistant, which ensures that the grinder remains sharp for a long time. The kits for the production of salt mills basically correspond to the design of the pepper mill. They are made of hardened steel (60 HRC) and have an infinitely adjustable cone grinding mechanism that allows you to set the exact fineness of the salt.
Pump'n'Grind mills for pepper and spices
The stainless steel Pump'n'Grind single-handed grinders are
undoubtedly a real eye-catcher and deserve a place on every
table.
The fully assembled grinders only need to be fitted with a turned
wooden sleeve. This is screwed to the kit and can be replaced or
exchanged at any time. The way the mill itself works is as simple
as it is ingenious. The spice is pushed through a toothed opening
with a toothed pestle, which finely crushes the ground
material.
Grinders in general
Regardless of whether you opt for stainless steel or ceramic
grinders. Many grinders have adjusting screws with which you can
set the degree of grinding and determine the fineness with which
you grind pepper, salt and co.
The guide rods available for the numerous kits are available in
different lengths. This gives you the freedom to choose the size of
the grinder you want to make.
Wood
Avoid using wood that contains tannic acid, as this favours corrosion of the metal components used in the grinder kits. Woods that contain tannic acid include oak and robinia.
