How to use the diamond honing files
Stripping the cutting edge after sharpening is a useful step, especially when woodturning, and can be done in no time with diamond stripper files. Removing the burr created during sharpening plays an important role in honing. The blade retains its sharpness for longer and needs to be resharpened less often.
Diamond honing files also have the great advantage that they can be used to resharpen the cutting edges 3 to 5 times. The trip to the bench grinder is no longer necessary. This protects your woodturning knives and saves time. We recommend that every woodturner has the diamond honing files to hand.
Examples of use:
They are ideal for sharpening smaller scraper blades that need to be held in a mandrel and cannot easily be sharpened on a bench grinder. The sharpening of Fasson steels such as ring cutters, round bar irons, mushroom irons and copy steels, i.e. all those turning knives that cannot be easily sharpened on a sharpening system, is no longer a problem.
